- The Oldest Publication Dedicated to the River Walk
- And That’s Just the Beginning!
RIO Magazine, the Official Magazine of the River Walk, is the oldest publication dedicated to the River Walk. The Paseo del Rio Association publishes RIO each month and has continued its publication for more than 40 years.
More than 105,000 tourists, business travelers, and locals read the free issues of RIO Magazine each month. RIO is available at more than 198 prime locations on the River Walk and throughout the Greater San Antonio area. More than 40 hotels throughout San Antonio distribute RIO, and overall, most concierges prefer to recommend RIO's map, the Official Map of the River Walk.
RIO reaches several specific markets and aids individuals in their traveling needs. Some of the specific niches include the business traveler and the downtown locals.
One practically unreachable market is the business traveler. At the request of many meeting planners, RIO is distributed to conventioneers upon arrival in registration packets. RIO is used as a guide to San Antonio and as an outlet for the travelers when they are searching for a restaurant or an attraction. Most travelers have one day set aside for leisure activity and spend their money in the San Antonio area.
RIO reaches the person who is looking to relocate to San Antonio. Several real estate agencies and home locator groups put welcome packets together that include RIO. This gives the individual a chance to see what San Antonio has to offer and is a great selling point for San Antonio.
RIO is a magazine that targets several niche audiences and reaches a variety of people each month. RIO’s River Walk niche is focused on spending money and seeing everything that San Antonio has to offer. By advertising in RIO, your business could be one that strikes a chord with that individual. Advertise with us, and we’ll see you on the RIO!
